  1. What is an Education Foundation?

    An Education Foundation is a privately operated, nonprofit organization created to receive, manage and distribute funds to support and enhance local public-school education. An Education Foundation promotes quality education and serves as a partner with a school district to solicit, manage and distribute supplemental funds for academic programs and projects which are not within the District’s budget and/or for which tax dollars cannot be expended.

    CEF supports Chesterfield County Public Schools through a variety of initiatives and programs. For more than 30 years, CEF has provided funding for innovative classroom grants, literacy growth and retention, teacher support, scholarships, equity initiatives, and much more.   3. How does CEF Support Chesterfield County Public Schools?

    CEF is a proud partner of Chesterfield County Public Schools. We provide funding and programs that enhance learning opportunities for CCPS students. CEF’s top three priorities are: 1. Provide equitable educational opportunities in CCPS; 2. Increase classroom innovation for students; and 3. Provide support for CCPS teachers.

    No, CEF is an independent, non-profit, community based charitable organization.

  5. How does CEF Raise Funds?

    CEF is funded by the generosity of our business partners, community partners, and people just like you who value strong public schools in Chesterfield County.

  6. What are my options for giving to CEF?

    Donations may be made by check, credit card or gifts of stock/securities. Many donors choose to make a monthly gift or pledge that can be fulfilled at a later date.
