  • What is the MCD Innovative Grant?

    The MCD Innovative Grant is a grant award for project ideas designed to enrich and expand the learning experience of CCPS students in their classes.

  • Who can apply for the grant?

    Any Chesterfield County teacher or staff member is eligible to apply.

  • How many applications can an applicant submit?

    An applicant can submit as many applications as they would like. However, only one will be considered for an award.

  • What is the application process timeframe?

    Applications for the 2023 MCD Innovation Grant will be accepted early winter.

  • What type of project should I submit?

    Any type of creative and innovative type of idea should be submitted.

  • Are the grant funds disbursed to me or my school?

    After a grant recipient is selected the funds are sent to their school.

  • Can I keep grant funds that are not spent?

    No, any funds not spent should be returned to Chesterfield Education Foundation.

  • Are there any reporting requirements?

    Yes, Grant recipients are asked to submit a mid-year report and a final report.

  • What is the most amount I can be awarded for a MCD Grant?

    The maximum award is $5,000.00.

  • Who needs to approve my project idea?

    The grant applicants should receive the approval of their principal or department director prior to submitting their application.

  • Will innovative remote learning projects qualify for a MCD Grant?

    Yes, applicants are encouraged to submit ideas for remote learning projects.
