Learning Centers Offer Vital Opportunities

Did you know that quality after-school programs can support social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development; reduce risky behaviors, promote physical health, and provide a safe and supportive environment for children and youth? CEF is proud to offer ASPIRE (After School Positive Intervention, Reinforcement, and Enrichment) programs in four Chesterfield schools: Bensley ES, Chalkley ES, Falling Creek MS, and Providence MS.

Funded by Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants from VDOE, ASPIRE provides academic support, career-focused enrichment clubs, and FUN!!!

Our programs are designed with four goals in mind:

(1) increase scores on ELA and Math SOLs

(2) increase parent participation

(3) decrease chronic absenteeism

(4) decrease disciplinary infractions
