Join Chesterfield County Public Schools in partnership with the Chesterfield Education Foundation in celebrating Dr. Merv Daugherty’s tenure as the superintendent of CCPS with a unique twist: Dr. D’s Retirement Book Bash fundraiser! The celebration will include food, drinks*, a raffle and fund-a-need online auction, book giveaways, and opportunities to learn more about the many ways we can foster a love of reading for Chesterfield students. Funds raised will support CEF's literacy programs. *although we love kids, this is an adults-only event.

This event is not just about bidding farewell; it’s about creating a lasting impact by raising funds to put books into student homes. Your support of this effort will ensure that children in Chesterfield County have access to this invaluable resource, fostering a love for reading and building home libraries that are crucial for academic success. Let’s come together to honor Dr. Daugherty’s legacy while making a tangible difference in the lives of our community’s young learners.
